In physical terms this will mean a careful balance of appropriate refurbishment, redevelopment and reconfiguration of the external environment. To this end the design process has involved three workstreams working in parallel including landscape architecture, urban design and architecture. Each strand in effect has to defend and sell its ideas to the others, ensuring that only the best concepts are carried forward for consideration by the community and stakeholders.
