Key Data
Marcos joined PRP|Ai in March this year, further to working at PRP since 2003, taking responsibility for many key projects. He has already completed the Sustainable Administration Facilities for the Masdar development in Abu Dhabi, a project at the cutting edge of sustainability.
His current projects include The Park Development in Abu Dhabi; a new mixed use development located at one of the key entrances to Abu Dhabi Island and The Emerald Gateway residential towers. Marcos trained at Westminster School of Architecture for both degree and diploma. His current experience includes residential, commercial, infrastructure, educational, leisure and sports buildings.
He joined PRP from John McAlsan & Partners where he successfully completed the refurbishment of the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge. Other key projects he worked on include a £17m commercial building in Fenchurch Street; The winning design for a 160,000 sq ft mixed-use commercial building as part of the Spinningfields Development in Manchester.
The design for a new Western concourse for Kings Cross Station, London; The Landscape to Landfill International competition in New York for the development of the world’s largest capped landfill of 2,000 acres on Staten Island into a mixed-use scheme.
Prior to this he worked in Granada, Spain working on mixed-use housing.

The Park, Abu Dhabi
The Park is a new mixed use development located at one of the key entrances to Abu Dhabi Island. The proposal provides 184 keys for a 4 star hotel apartments with F&B facilities, health club, retail and ground level and circa 200,000 sq.ft of office space over nine levels. Maqta Waterfront, Abu Dhabi, UAE. A high end residential development located on the south eastern side of Maqta Bridge.
Bab Ezzouar, Algeria
A multifaceted scheme comprising a 300 bed luxury hotel with service apartments, convention centre, shopping mall and retail plazas, exclusive residential apartments and penthouses, cultural centre and ancillary entertainment facilities such as restaurants, cafes, sports and wellness centre
Emerald Gateway Residential Tower, Abu Dhabi
The tower (one in an ensemble of 88) aspires to be a landmark development, distinctive by virtue of both its unique language and unprecedented standards in luxury living. Masdar Sustainable Administration. Facility (SAF), Abu Dhabi PRP was appointed in January 2008 to provide the SAF Offices for 141 Staff on the Masdar City site so that the client, project managers and design team can co-ordinate the 8 year programme for the City.
St Giles, Covent Garden
PRP partnered with Renzo Piano to design the residential layouts for this prestigious 109 unit development in central London with Stanhope and Legal & General. Green Park Railway and Bus interchange. PRP are in the process of submitting a planning application for a new Railway Station and Bus interchange to service GreenPark Business Park and a new housing development to the north of the park. The Station will provide a new direct link to Reading, Basingstoke and London.
